Avoid the hype around these 3 QBs this upcoming NFL season.

Aaron Rodgers remained in Green Bay, and Russel Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos. The NFL off-season QB market seems to be falling into place as QBs will begin to find new homes now that the significant dominos have fallen.
Potential surprise plays to look out for include Tom Brady un-retiring to join a contender, the Las Vegas Raiders trading Derek Carr, and the San Francisco 49ers dealing Jimmy Garoppolo.
I am personally avoiding the three QBs listed below as potential flips later this NFL season. However, I would predict a run-up in price in these upcoming QB’s sport card markets. Letting savvy card collectors who want to take the risk on these upcoming QBs buy low then flip for profit when the hype builds around these QBs.
Jameis Winston
After being injured as the New Orleans Saints starting QB, Winston finds himself a free agent recovering from an ACL injury. Winston could re-sign with the Saints as their starting QB or elsewhere in free agency to compete as another team’s starter. Winston’s timeline for return from injury is uncertain. He may or may not be ready for Week 1 of the NFL season. Suppose Winston is healthy and is named the starting QB of an NFL Week 1. Look to potentially buy Winston’s cards on the cheap then sell if he is named a team’s starter or shows out in training camp. Hype will begin to build around Winston’s card prices again, and people will be looking to take another chance on him.
Mitchell Trubisky
Trubisky flamed out in his stint as the starting QB for the Chicago Bears after being drafted over Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson. After spending a season behind Josh Allen as the Buffalo Bills backup QB. The narrative surrounding Trubisky is beginning to shift. The new narrative is that Matt Nagy, the Bears head coach ruined Trubisky and didn’t know how to use him. Nagy certainly didn’t end up being a great head coach. Nagy’s coaching may have even hurt Trubisky. But any Chicago fan will tell you. Trubisky’s biggest problem wasn’t Nagy, not even close. Trubisky’s most significant issues all stem from himself. The Buffalo Bills already publicly stated they most likely cannot bring Trubisky back as their backup. He is a free agent, and his price tag will be too high for them to retain him. It certainly seems some QB desperate team will sign Trubisky in free agency and let him compete for the starting role. When this situation happens, buyers may feel they need to hop on the Trubisky hype train for some reason. Upcoming buyers of Trubisky should buy their cards now to avoid being stuck with the bag. Buyers should then flip their cards when the prices increase after Trubisky signs with an NFL team to compete as a starter.
Jordan Love
Aaron Rodgers is signing a contract extension to stay in Green Bay as their starting QB to help the Packers win a Super Bowl. The writing is on the wall for Jordan Love’s future in Green Bay. Love’s names will begin to be floated in trade rumors around the NFL. Love seems destined to be traded sooner rather than later to a team looking to take a chance on the 2020 1st round pick. Love could turn into a viable or good starter for the NFL team he is traded to. His few starts in the NFL leave much to be desired, though, for non-Jordan Love believers. Love’s card prices will likely never be higher than when he is traded to a new NFL team. If you are holding Jordan Love cards, I would sit tight on them until he is traded, then sell high on the hype surrounding Love’s arrival as an NFL team’s hot new commodity.
